Student-athletes from Berkshire County and beyond are invited to experience first-hand the opportunities offered through the Miss Hall’s School Athletics program.

This free clinic will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27th, on the School’s 492 Holmes Road campus. Middle school athletes and their families will have the opportunity to meet MHS coaches and athletes, participate in fun games, experience the athletic facilities, and tour the MHS campus. To register, click the button below and also complete the Athletic Clinic Release and bring it to the clinic.

Director of Athletics and Auxiliary Programming and Varsity Basketball Coach Telia Marks-McCall will host the event and present an overview of the Miss Hall’s School Athletics program. The clinic is geared toward middle school students but open to any student who wants to see what MHS Athletics offers.

“The idea is to let prospective student-athletes and their families know that athletes at Miss Hall’s compete at a high level, while also experiencing an amazing academic program,” says Coach Marks-McCall. “It’s not an ‘either/or’ here. You can be a varsity athlete while also experiencing our college prep Hallmark courses, Horizons experiential learning and internship program, and outstanding Expressive Arts offerings. These are opportunities you will not find on a lot of high school campuses.”

In addition to Coach Marks-McCall, Varsity Lacrosse Coach Melissa O’Dell and Varsity Softball Coach Kim Boland ’94 will be available to meet with student-athletes and their families. MHS basketball, lacrosse, and soccer players will also participate.

Miss Hall’s offers 10 team sports — alpine skiing, basketball, cross-country, golf, lacrosse, soccer, softball, tennis, volleyball, and a year-round equestrian program — competing during fall, winter, and spring seasons. In addition, the School offers noncompetitive activities, including dance, yoga, recreational golf, and recreational tennis, and support for off-campus activities such as swimming and figure-skating.

“We also have outstanding facilities and partnerships,” notes Coach Marks-McCall, a former Director of Basketball Operations for Quinnipiac University’s women’s basketball team. She also previously played professional basketball in Luxembourg and Finland, and was a four-year member of the University of Virginia’s women’s basketball team.

The Miss Hall’s Athletics facilities include the Anne Meyer Cross Athletic Center, home to the basketball and volleyball programs; the Class of ’57 Field, an NCAA-regulation lacrosse and soccer field; the O’Day Family Field, an NCAA-regulation softball field; and the James K. Ervin Tennis Complex (under construction!). Golfers practice and play at Miraval (formerly Cranwell) in Lenox, and the School’s equestrians ride at a top-of-the-line facility in nearby Canaan, New York.

“We offer a diverse program and great opportunities, all in an amazing setting,” adds Coach Marks-McCall. “It really is the best of both worlds.”
